Congressman F. James Sensenbrenner, Jr. (R-Menomonee Falls) is accepting nomination applications for those who would like to enter the United States Service Academies in the summer of 2013.

United States citizens residing in Wisconsin’s Fifth Congressional District who are at least 17 years old, but not past their 23rd birthday as of July 1, 2013, are invited to apply.

Eligible individuals will be interviewed by the Congressman’s Academy Selection Committee Members, composed of community leaders appointed by Congressman Sensenbrenner.  Recommendations from the Committee will be made to the Congressman for final appointment based on academic and physical qualifications set by the Academies.  The deadline for completed applications is October 15, 2012.  Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

“Wisconsin’s Fifth Congressional District has a proud history of sending highly qualified men and women to the United States Service Academies,” said Sensenbrenner.  “I urge those interested in serving our country through one of our academies to contact their high school guidance counselor or my District Office in Brookfield for more information.”

Information may be obtained through the Congressman’s District Office at 120 Bishops Way, Room 154, Brookfield, WI 53005, or by calling (262) 784-1111 or (800) 242-1119.
