One of my greatest Christmas delights is the rich tradition this blessed holiday brings each year. My family has been in Wisconsin since 1856, and although I’ve celebrated the season in many places throughout my life, Wisconsin is the only place that truly feels like home.

As a child, Christmases were spent at my grandparents’ house. I remember the spirited conversations, the delicious smells, and the simplicity of the celebration.

After Cheryl and I married and started our own family, we often hosted Christmas in our home and tried to carry on the holiday traditions we remembered from our families.
As with so many families, when children grow up and have families of  their own,  they  become the keepers of family tradition – something all parents are honored to pass on to them. Cheryl and I find great joy in watching our family traditions flourish now in our sons’ families.

This Christmas, my family and I wish you and your family love, peace, and happiness as you celebrate the season with your own Christmas traditions. May God bless you.
