FreedomWorks proudly awarded Congressman James Sensenbrenner of Wisconsin (WI-5) with the organization’s second annual “FreedomFighter Award,” a token of appreciation given to members of the House and Senate who consistently vote in defense of economic freedom.

Each “FreedomFighter” recipient earned a minimum score of 90 percent on the FreedomWorks Congressional Scorecard during the 2012 legislative session, which often required legislators to cast politically unpopular votes inside the Beltway in order to defend liberty and strengthen the economy across the country.

FreedomWorks President Matt Kibbe commented, “Congressman James Sensenbrenner took a stand against the Washington special interest machine and proved himself a true defender of economic freedom with a 90 out of 100 percent on the FreedomWorks Congressional Scorecard. FreedomWorks encourages Congressman Sensenbrenner to keep fighting the good fight to protect Wisconsin taxpayers, and bring back fiscal sanity and accountability to the federal government.”
