Small business is the backbone of our economy. According to the Small Business Administration (SBA), small businesses make up the vast majority of U.S. employer firms and are responsible for two-thirds of new private sector jobs. As a result, it’s incumbent on elected officials to help small businesses grow by eliminating onerous regulations, doing away with needlessly burdensome government red tape, and lowering the tax burden passed on to hard-working Wisconsinites. In addition, through continued investments in agencies such as the SBA, we can ensure entrepreneurs have the resources required to start, expand and invest in their enterprises.
