An all-of-the-above national energy strategy that prioritizes affordability, reliability and grid security is an important pillar of economic growth and job creation – especially in the rust belt. This strategy must take advantage of America’s abundant natural resources and include power generated from traditional sources like coal, natural gas, nuclear and hydro. Through private sector ingenuity, rather than Washington mandates, wind, solar, biomass and other renewables can also help meet the energy needs of businesses and consumers.
