Sensenbrenner Supports No More Solyndras Act

Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner (R-WI) today supported the No More Solyndras Act, which passed the House by a vote of 245-161.
“The Solyndra boondoggle was a disgraceful example of what happens when crony politics meets stimulus-styled spending. The DOE loan guarantee program was rife with problems, and the Administration manipulated it for their own political purposes.
“The No More Solyndras Act will put an end to the President’s troubled DOE loan guarantee program that left taxpayers on the hook for the nearly $1 billion in bankruptcies including Solyndra, Abound Solar, and Beacon Power. Congress needs to pass this legislation to shut down this tax dollar sinkhole and hold the White House accountable for those loan applications currently pending. ”
Congressman Sensenbrenner is the Vice Chair of the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology.
